10 Best Restaurants in Berlin

Enjoy The Best Berlin Bites!

Just like the city itself, Berlin's culinary scene is very vibrant and diverse, offering flavors from around the globe. From affordable food trucks to 5-star eateries, restaurants in Berlin take care of every taste and preference. Enjoy traditional German cuisine, vegan portions, meat platters, and all you can ever wish for. So without wasting any further time, let's find out some of the best Berlin restaurants, so you don’t have to!

Ornek

With a sizable Turkish population, it's easy to find Turkish restaurants in Berlin, but one that stands out among all its rivals is Ornek. As you enter, you will be welcomed by a team of chefs working behind the counters stretching the dough and topping it with tomatoes, fresh meat, onions, and a bunch of herbs. You can also buy their local flatbread for just two Euros, but missing out on kebabs of chicken and lamb served with bread and savory garlic sauce would be a huge loss. Ornek can get very crowded, so make sure you have enough time to wait in line, but it's worth it in the end.

Curry Baude

If you are puzzled about where to eat in Berlin, go to the locals' favorite Curry Baude, which is located near Gesundbrunnen U Bahn Station. It is owned and run by Reina Lehman. The crowd loves their juicy sausages that are also crispy, and the ratio of curry and ketchup is close to perfection. The service might be a little sloppy, but hang on that is a German charm that comes free when experiencing local culture.

Wen Cheng Hand-pulled Noodles

At Wen Cheng Hand-pulled Noodles, the only thing thinner than their noodles is your willpower to resist another bowl! Each strand is a delicious temptation that’s impossible to ignore. Opened in 2021 this eatery has now expanded to three locations in Berlin. They are famous for their hand-pulled biang biang Shaanxi-style noodles with spicy broth. Their menu mainly revolves around soft wheat noodles, especially the beef noodles paired with soy sauce, peppers, and vinegar. For people who don’t eat meat, they serve Vegan options as well.

Gully Burger

You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants in the Pfefferberg Markthalle area, which is a center for excellent dining in Berlin, but specifically Gully Burger is here for a reason. The name could be a little misleading to people, as their signature dish is an excellent buttermilk-brined chicken sandwich flavored with Indian spices. Vegetarians can try the crispy, tamarind-flavored fried potato sandwich, commonly known as vada pav in India. You can choose between sweet and spicy samosa chaat or French fries as your side serving.

Lokal

With an unpretentious simple and classy local interior, Lokal gives a cozy vibe. They serve a seasonal bistro menu that focuses more on local German cooking and recipes and the use of regional herbs and ingredients is what set them apart.

Cookies Cream

Holding a Michelin-star, this vegetarian restaurant, Cookies Cream, challenges fine diners with its edgy, mysterious atmosphere and secret entrance through an alleyway delivery dock. A variety of natural wines are served alongside Chef Nicholas Hahn's creative menu, which features potato ceviche and ice cream infused with red pepper. Guests can combine wine pairings with inventive house-made juices and ferments for an added twist.

Aleppo Supper Club

Enjoy the finest flavors from Syria in Berlin, thanks to Aleppo Supper Club, serving one of the tastiest hummus in town. The hummus is garlicky and creamy with a perfect amount of lemony tang to it. And the version with roasted nuts is the star stealer. Other menu options include pomegranate salad, crispy bulgur, and kibbeh. Their Meza are quite popular, so it's better to go with a bunch of friends.

Madame Ngo

When a Vietnamese eatery caters to German taste, it's not wrong to say that something is COOKING! They serve dishes like crisp vegetables, luscious pate, and juicy pork. Also, the bowl of pho with soft meatballs and tenderloin is another staple. The minimalistic ambiance and cozy vibe will be enough to make you stay for a glass of beer.

Kantstraße 30, 10623 Berlin, Germany

Salhino

This little Georgian restaurant has quite a name, and that too for a reason! While you can find a restaurant that focuses on food almost anywhere, Salhino in Charlottenburg may have the advantage because it serves the best grilled skewers with red pepper sauce and hot stews packed with fresh herbs. The traditional dishes, such as khachapuri and fat khinkali stuffed with cheese or pork, continue to be the talk of the town. For dessert, don't miss the tapluri which is a honey cake, or the buffalo milk yogurt loaded with fresh honey and almonds.

Waitzstraße 1, 10629 Berlin, Germany

Adana Grillhaus

Located in the heart of Germany's largest Turkish district, Adana Grillhaus is the most popular Turkish grill, making it the preferred option. Take a seat and enjoy watching the cooks prepare mouthwatering lamb chops and minced Adana (which means lamb skewers) over a hot burning fire of charcoal. Ordering cold mezze first and lots of raki with ice and water afterward is the best way to properly digest all that meat load.
